Art nude photography is a genre that can be both erotic and artistic. It takes skill to pose for nude photography in a way that looks both natural and sexy. If you're looking to become a nude or to start your career as an erotic or art nude model, here are some tips on how to pose for the camera.

1. Setting
The first thing you need when modelling nude is of course your subject matter; yourself!
Before you undress, choose what type of setting will best suit your vision. Ask your photographer if they have certain props (such as candles or silks) that would fit with the mood, or if there are any specific backgrounds that would look good in the light.
2. Location
There are many different locations in which to shoot nude photos. You can pose on the beach, in front of a waterfall, in a garden, poolside... anywhere you like really.
3. Lighting
The best light for nude photography will come from an angle that's not too harsh and is most flattering for your figure. If there are curtains or blinds available, try using them to create interesting shadows.
4. Posing
If you're looking to become a nude model specifically for artistic nudes, forget what you know about "model posing". When it comes to shooting nudes, less is more! So rather than thinking about how to stand or sit with your hands arranged just so or trying out various facial expressions; think instead about portraying a beautiful, naturalistic pose that's all about the body. Leave your face and facial expressions out of it!
5. Clothes
If you're going to use clothing in a shoot, be sure to experiment with different types of fabric and textures so you get a feel for what looks best on camera. You can also use certain nude photography articles of clothing as props or to modify the position in which you are sitting or lying.
6. Expectations
As an art nude model, you should have both high-level skills and professionalism. If you have very little experience posing nude, consider hiring a photographer who is willing to go slow and work with you before booking any big-name shoots.
As a nude model, you should always be prepared to work long hours; not just because the lighting or setting may take some time but also because nude art photography is very physically demanding. Your poses will often need to be held for minutes at a time and you must maintain them much like a dancer does while on stage!
Understand that even though you are "nude", it doesn't mean that there can't be any element of fashion involved in your shoot (such as lace lingerie). If anything, an erotic art nude shoot will use more clothing than usual: much like pieces from a fashion designer's collection, each piece needs to be carefully selected, styled and placed so as to look natural and beautiful.
Be sure you're aware of the limitations and requirements of your shoot. If it's a nude shoot, you should know what to expect and how far the photographer wants to go. And if it's an erotic art nude shoot, you should be prepared for some degree of physical contact as well as various locations that may involve other people such as stylists or assistants.
